The Chicago Cubs have a long tradition that started already in 1870. During the 19th century, they had several names. First, they were known as the Chicago White Stockings, then they became the Chicago Colts. Thereafter they were known as the Chicago Orphans for four years before they became Chicago Cubs in 1903. The team is based in the south side of Chicago and the Chicago White Sox are from Chicago's north side. Obviously, the rivalry between the two teams is massive.
